About The Author:
Danielle recently received her PhD in Psychology from Brandeis University. She studied stress and immune system function across the lifespan. She studied factors that affect health outcomes, included rumination and worry after experiencing stress. Her dissertation examined variation in glucocorticoid sensitivity of peripheral inflammatory processes in post-menopausal women. She is currently applying her skills and interest in chronic disease to the study of type 1 diabetes in a nonprofit research organization. She is particularly interested in studying the day to day stress of managing type 1 diabetes for both parents/caregivers and people with the disease.
