Herman R. Lukow II, Ph.D.
About The Author:
Herman R. Lukow II, Ph.D., is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Richmond, Virginia. He earned a M.Ed. in Marital and Family Therapy and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from The College of William & Mary, after completing a 20-year military and aviation career.
For the past three years, Dr. Lukow has been conducting research as a National Institute of Disability Rehabilitation Research postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University. In this position, he has assisted in designing, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic interventions, as well as providing therapy for survivors, couples, and families recovering from the effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Dr. Lukow is a reviewer for the journal Brainline and has authored or co-authored a variety of manuscripts for peer reviewed journals, book chapters, conference papers, and has been invited to present for international, national, and local audiences. He is a regular contributor to Brain Injury Association newsletters and websites and recently founded Brain Injury Recovery and Wellness, LLC.
