Amitai Shenhav, Ph.D.

Amitai Shenhav, Ph.D. is a cognitive neuroscientist, currently performing a postdoctoral research fellowship at Princeton University. He earned a B.A. in cognitive science at UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. in psychology at Harvard University.

He studies the neural systems that are involved in making decisions. He is also interested in how we determine when to exert cognitive effort on a difficult task (including tasks that require us to decide between multiple possible actions), and how the neural mechanisms he uncovers can help up better understand anxiety and depression.
